Ukrainian law enforcement officials have brought suspicions of committing war crimes against 477 Russian military personnel, with 77 of them already having court sentences.
This information was announced by the Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin on Facebook after the participation of the Ukrainian delegation in the fourth meeting of advisers on national security and foreign policy regarding the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
According to Kostin, during the panel discussion dedicated to point 7 of the Peace Formula, "Restoring Justice," partners heard testimonies from Ukrainians about war crimes committed by Russian military personnel. The stories included that of a 16-year-old boy whose father was shot by occupiers right before his eyes and a young woman who suffered sexual violence from a Russian serviceman.
"...We are building our network of comprehensive accountability for all crimes of the aggressor. We have already brought suspicions of committing war crimes against 477 individuals, and 77 have been convicted," he informed.
The Prosecutor General also reminded that the International Center for the Prosecution of Aggression has been launched – a key stage on the path to creating a Special Tribunal.
