Among Zhdanov's options, there is even an attack on Crimea.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov analysed what would happen after the liberation of Kherson from the Russian invaders and what kind of territory of the Armed Forces of Ukraine would be liberated next - Donbas or Crimea. He spoke about this on his YouTube channel.

In his opinion, the Ukrainian defenders, after the de-occupation of Kherson, will have three options. If the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberate Kherson and clear the right bank of the enemy, they can:

  • force the left bank of the Dnieper and launch an offensive on the Zaporizhzhia direction;
  • transfer troops to the Donetsk and Luhansk directions;
  • develop an offensive on the Crimea

"All three options are acceptable, but which of them will be the main one, the General Staff will choose. This will determine the nature of the hostilities. We need to accumulate reserves for a counteroffensive. Western sources of information "unanimously" say that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive "significant success" on the line before the New Year front," Zhdanov said.
