On April 14, representatives from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) signed an agreement in Kyiv to allocate $4.76 million for a three-year project aimed at enhancing the digital transformation of the Ukrainian government.
The project, which will run until 2027, aims to make the government's operations more efficient, transparent, and convenient for civil servants. The initiative will be implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, UNDP, and the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
“The goal of the Ministry of Digital Transformation is to simplify interactions with the government, both for citizens and those who provide these services. We are grateful to the Republic of Korea for supporting this important initiative, which will help improve the efficiency of the public sector,” stated Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology, and Minister of Digital Transformation.
The project includes two key areas:
-
Modernizing digital tools for project management within ministries and creating electronic services for civil servants.
-
Training civil servants in digital skills to enable effective use of new systems.
One of the project's components will involve implementing a special service for civil servants, Diia.Office, which will simplify administrative processes and improve inter-agency communication.
